Animal Balloons

Next month is my youngest daughters Birthday and she’s turning 1..!

Can’t believe how quickly the year has gone.  We’ve decided to throw her a “Ladybug” theme party which I will detail on another blog but had a wee think about entertainment today for the “older” kids.

There will be 20 children in total at the party and anyone over the age of 4 years finds 1 year old parties a bit of a nag so decided we’d have face painting and Animal balloons.  If the weather is fine, we might have water balloons too – they’re always a laugh.

Obviously with 3 children there isn’t enough money in the budget to pay for an entertainer so mummy is it..!

I hit Google and found a fantastic website to learn how to make these creatures.

Whilst up the road today I bought a packet of balloons from the $2 shop – those long skinny ones and raced home to try it out.  Do you think I could blow them up..?  Not in your nelly, luckily we have an air bed pump – worked a treat.

Took a deep breath and worked on my dog..!  To my amazement, it’s actually not that hard.  Some of them came out with slighlty shorter legs in the back than at the front and some had really big ears or long noses.  I had to laugh with one of them when I realised it had too many rounds bits and looked like it had haemorroids..!!  Practise makes perfect and I have about 4 weeks to practice.

Wish me luck..!

ABOUT ME

Author: Donna Kitching | Filed under: Uncategorized

Hi There,
I’m a busy mum of three small children (1, 2 & 3 yrs) and have been meaning to start something like this up to maybe help other busy mums see their full potential.
It has taken me almost 4 years to get myself together and start to really enjoy my new life as a stay at home mum and to respect my hard working husband with running an efficient household.

I have taken on a new attitude towards our home, our children, our garden, money and ultimately myself.  My husband has noticed a huge improvement and he actually seems to enjoy coming home from work now.

I really enjoy being at home now and spending time with our children as soon enough, they will be at school and I will return to Full time work.  I love gardening..!  I’m not quite little miss green fingers yet, but each season I am learning a whole lot about gardening and what to plant and when.  It’s very exciting.

I barely have any other interests except for crafts and DIY because my three littlies take up so much time.  I do hope that this blog will be interesting to read and that you will find some magic for yourself as I have for me..
